THE THREE WISE MEN!!!

This is a picture of the Roscón de Reyes.We eat it on 6th January, school holiday.We find two things inside the Roscón : a small present and a dried broad bean. The person who finds the present can wear the golden crown that  comes with the Roscón and the person who finds the  dried broad bean has to pay for the cake ( nobody follows this rule,it's like a joke).

Este es una foto del Roscón de Reyes.Lo comemos el 6 de enero,es fiesta.Encontramos dentro del Roscón dos cosas: un regalo pequeñito y un haba seca. La persona que encuentra el regalo puede ponerse la corona dorada que viene con el Roscón y quien encuentra el haba tiene que pagar el pastel (nadie cumple esto, es una broma)

Uvas a medianoche/ Grapes at midnight.

We know that in Spain people try and eat 12 grapes at midnight on New Year's Eve. We do not have this tradition in England. Some of our Y6 pupils tried to eat 12 grapes to the chimes of Big Ben!

Sabemos que en Espana la gente intenta comer 12 uvas a medianoche en Nochevieja. No tenemos esta tradicion en Inglaterra. Algunos de nuestros alumnos intentaron comer 12 uvas cada vez que la campana de Big Ben suena. Hay un video abajo...el alumno comio 11 uvas!
